 Scott is a drag racer and car owner dedicated to preserving the legacy of legendary Pro Stock pioneer Bill 'Grumpy' Jenkins. He owns and drives meticulously built tribute versions of Jenkins’ iconic “Grumpy’s Toy” race car, bringing the spirit of classic Pro Stock racing to modern nostalgia events.


Scott actively competes in the Nostalgia

 Scott is a drag racer and car owner dedicated to preserving the legacy of legendary Pro Stock pioneer Bill 'Grumpy' Jenkins. He owns and drives meticulously built tribute versions of Jenkins’ iconic “Grumpy’s Toy” race car, bringing the spirit of classic Pro Stock racing to modern nostalgia events.


Scott actively competes in the Nostalgia Pro Stock circuit and appears at major events such as the NHRA Pep Boys Nationals.  His featured vehicles is a tribute to “Grumpy’s Toy XVI,” a 1981/1982 Chevrolet Camaro powered by a Big Block Chevy engine, celebrating the performance and heritage of drag racing’s golden era.

 Built in 1981, this Pro Stock–style Camaro has a long racing history and has passed through several owners in the Midwest, with each updating and improving the car over time. Today it continues to compete in nostalgia drag racing, combining its classic roots with modern performance upgrades. The car is powered by a 565-cubic-inch Big Blo

 Built in 1981, this Pro Stock–style Camaro has a long racing history and has passed through several owners in the Midwest, with each updating and improving the car over time. Today it continues to compete in nostalgia drag racing, combining its classic roots with modern performance upgrades. The car is powered by a 565-cubic-inch Big Block Chevy built by Rare Morrison, featuring twin Dominator carburetors and a durable wet-sump oiling system. Power is delivered through a Bruno drive with a three-speed Lenco transmission, making it both powerful and exciting to drive on the track

 Bill Jenkins was a pioneering American drag racer and engine builder renowned for his significant contributions to the sport's technical evolution. Jenkins earned the nickname "Grumpy" due to his no nonsense demeanor at the races. This dedication led to numerous advancements in drag racing technology, including the development of the kic

 Bill Jenkins was a pioneering American drag racer and engine builder renowned for his significant contributions to the sport's technical evolution. Jenkins earned the nickname "Grumpy" due to his no nonsense demeanor at the races. This dedication led to numerous advancements in drag racing technology, including the development of the kick out oil pans. Pro Stock strut style front suspensions and dry sump oiling systems. His engineering prowess earned him the title "Father of ProStock". 


As a driver, Jenkins secured 13 NHRA National Pro Stock event victories between 1965 and 1975, achieving a remarkable streak of 250 passes without missing a shift on his 4 speed manual transmission in 1972. 


Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins passed away on March 29, 2012 at the age of 81. He left behind a legacy of innovation and excellence that continues to influence the world of drag racing.

Scott Wegner was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He developed a passion for drag racing during his youth attending events as a young teenager at York US 30 Dragway in the early '70's. He admired the professional racers like Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins. 


In January 2024, Scott attended Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School and earned his competitio

In January 2024, Scott attended Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School and earned his competition license. Shortly after getting his license, he acquired "Grumpy's Toy XVI" a tribute to Bill Jenkins' iconic 1981 Camaro. This vehicle is a faithful recreation of Jenkins' original Pro Stock car reflecting the rich history of Drag Racing. Wegner's journey from a young fan behind the fences in Baltimore to a licensed drag racer and owner of a storied Nostalgia Pro Stock cor exemplifies his dedication to the sport and its history.
